  1. Love the Library Jude . Is the wine in a cardboard type of cantainer ? I wonder if they package it here . How much was it ? A headache in a bottle ! xx

    • The library was beautiful, I’m sure I’ve seen photos of it in some of those ‘most beautiful book places in the world’ slideshows.
Yep, wine in a 1 litre cardboard container like our UHT milk cartons, but longer. I think it cost around AUD $10 or 11, which is at the lower end of the market here. And speaking of long life milk, we can’t find any here at all. Hope we can find some in Norway.

  2. money money money did they give credit to Australia for getting them off on there great careers how can airlines fail to load baggage it sounds like there economy is travel ling okay Fay and I went there in 1980 as I remember it to be a very clean place do they have to have large chairs for ///////// people like we do from the home of JULIA which we haven t seen or heard for over a week SAD.

    • Yes they did give Australia credit. A lot of ABBA: The Movie was filmed in Oz, and then after they broke up and went through the inevitable slump that followed, it was the Aussie movies Muriel’s Wedding and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert that put them back in the charts. Then of course Mama Mia, The Musical and Mama Mia the Movie, which Benny and Bjorn produced.
Sweden’s economy does seem to be okay – not many vacant shops or offices. We’ll write more about cost of living stuff soon, but I noticed that a Big Mac meal costs $11.50 here. No idea how much it costs at home, so …. dear readers, next time you pass a McDonalds, check out the price of a Big Mac meal with fries and a drink and let us know. For research purposes.
