It’s such a strange experience for us to go to another country with just a passport, a bottle of water and some money, rather than heaps of luggage. We started off in the old part of town, but it was just a seething mass of tourists so we headed off to find where the locals go, ie the shopping centre!

Our seafood lunch yesterday cost 20 euros, or about $30, and if we ate at Central Market in Adelaide it would cost around that or a bit more.
