Lenin’s mausoleum was accessible from a path that started near the Kremlin walls. It is closed on Mondays and Fridays, so we didn’t notice it when we were there on Monday. We did go and see him yesterday – queued up for an hour, queued to put our bags in the cloakroom, queued to get through their joke metal detector, then queued to get into the mausoleum. So now we have seen the 3 dead communist comrades.

I’m not sure of the origin of the padlocks, but we have seen it in other European cities – Rome, Lisbon and parts of Spain.

Here we go been there no yes been to the Bolshy for a show dont remember what it was but some building inside you where able to excise Lenin’s Tomb from Red Square in the time we where there under Communism everyone was granted a job whether need or not so things have not changed the people seem the same a big part of the world speaks English for Russians to be come part of that no way of all the parts of the world we have visited they seem to be a world apart yet smart people .
