Hi Hazel, we got home last night in time to enjoy today’s 38C maximum. We had about 16 hours in Doha and booked in to a hotel for 12hrs. I slept most of it, but Greg went out several times. Temp there was also 38C, but it must have been very humid as well because he thought it was much worse than when it’s 38 here.
Ah, Sagrada Familia – definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I want to go back when it’s finished. I hope Greg’s photos showed some progress since you visited!
Hope you’re well, love from us both xxx

Your photos of Sagrada Familia were wonderful – I visited it in the 90s and being totally ignorant of the project, I went along expecting a cathedral and instead it was a building site. Any Health and Safety Dept would have had a fit at the unguarded dangers! Now though, those stained glass windows – Wow!

They were only short but I did see quite a few of the same places.
Jocelyn took me to Sergovia, San Sebastián and Barcelona plus all the must sees in Madrid. Welcome home. Love. Wendy

We get in on Tuesday evening at around 6.30. We have a very, very long layover in Doha, but Greg has booked us a hotel room for 12 hours so we can hopefully get some sleep! ByHours.com in case you ever need it!
Safe trip home, see you back there soon! xx

Also flying home on Monday but with Emirates. Think they come in with minutes of each other.

Thanks for travelling with us, Margaret. We’ve just been to clean and vacuum the car and will spend (hopefully not all of) tomorrow packing to fly home late tomorrow evening. It’s been a great trip. x

Don’t eat pork though but it’s Derick’s favourite roast particularly the crackling.
Soon be on your way home, wishing you a safe journey .
Thanks for the whole experience . xxx

You should have been around back then, building something like the Seville Cathedral would have been amazing. Only problem is that it took so long to build, you would want to have worked on it close to when it was finished
