We’re loving this trip too – I never thought I’d enjoy spending so much time in cold weather, but as the Norwegians say:

Maybe they do replace the pews every so often – there is a big ice-making facility near the hotel.

Sitting on the Ice seats , you said they are covered in skins but surely the warmth of ones body must melt the ice. Or am I missing something ?
